Description

Specifically developed for coffee professionals, the RObust COFFEE delivers up to 75 L/h of purified water tailored to meet the strict mineral balance recommended by the Specialty Coffee Association. This system enhances flavor consistency and equipment longevity in cafés, roasteries, and barista stations. Its space-saving, tankless design fits easily under counters, and ensures 20 hours of continuous operation daily — so your water quality stays as refined as your brew.

How it works:
RObust COFFEE filter system is designed to provide perfectly balanced water for brewing high-quality coffee. Through a combination of advanced purification stages and mineral enrichment, it ensures optimal water composition that meets SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) standards. Here’s how the filtration process unfolds:

1. Pre-filtration:
Tap water undergoes initial treatment to remove mechanical impurities, chlorine, chlorinated organic compounds, and natural organic substances, preparing it for the next stages.

2. Membrane filtration (Ecosoft RO element):
Water is pushed through a semi-permeable reverse osmosis membrane, which removes up to 99.8% of dissolved impurities, including viruses and bacteria. The membrane’s pores are 200 times smaller than viruses and 4000 times smaller than bacteria, ensuring exceptional purification.

3. Special coffee cartridge:
Water flows through a dedicated cartridge that enriches it with calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg). These minerals enhance the extraction of flavor and aromatic components, delivering premium-quality coffee.

4. Post-carbon filtration:
Water undergoes final polishing to improve its taste and aroma by removing any residual odors.

High-pressure pump system:
A high-pressure pump feeds water simultaneously to the membrane and the special coffee cartridge. The result is water enriched with Ca and Mg in concentrations aligned with SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) recommendations.

Dry-run protection:
If the water supply is interrupted or the inlet pressure drops below 0.4 bar, a low-pressure relay automatically shuts off the valve and disables the pump. Even if the purified water faucet remains open, the system won’t restart until the necessary inlet pressure is restored, safeguarding the pump from damage.

Service:
RObust COFFEE direct flow reverse osmosis filter is designed for cold tap water only.

The front panel features two pressure gauges:
– Inlet pressure gauge: shows pressure after pre-filters.
– Pump pressure gauge: shows pressure after the membrane block.
If pressure drops below recommended levels, follow the panel instructions.

Pre-filtration cartridges:
Replace after filtering 5,000 liters or at least every 3 months. Delayed replacement may damage the membrane.

Reverse osmosis membrane:
Replace after filtering 40,000 liters or at least once per year if filtration speed decreases.

Post-filtration cartridge:
Replace if taste deteriorates or odor appears, after 5,000 liters or at least every 3 months.

Replace all cartridges together as a set.

Downtime maintenance:
If unused for over 2 weeks, disinfect before resuming use (procedure in the user manual).
